Oops! I Married A CEO By Mistake Chapter 50

50- Date night

She was getting ready when her phone rang. Without looking at the caller id she received it.

“Hello?

“Hey soul sista!” “Cia! Where have you been?” Abigail was surprised to hear from her. “Sorry Abi, I had been busy lately with assignments and projects.” “Good, so anything new? Any new boyfriend at school?”

“Nopes! No luck! What about your marriage preparations? I wish I could be there. It feels like my elder sister is getting married.” Abigail had been a mentor to Patricia when she was in school. Patricia was much younger than her but she was also very mature of her age and that’s why Abigail adored her a lot. “I also miss you, cupcake! But don’t worry. Visit me here any time. Right now I need to go. Have got a dinner date with Rafael Wyatt.”

“What!” Patricia almost roared at her end. “Abigail! I am fainting… I swear.”

Abigail shook her head laughing. “He invited me because he is leaving early morning for his shoots. But I promise whenever you would visit me, I will set you two up!” “ha ha ha! Very funny. Now got to go. And please Abigail kiss Rafael for me. Right on his lips!” “What!” A shocked laughter escaped Abi’s lips. “You are crazy.”

After their friendly banter they disconnected the call. Patricia used to live with her single, drug addicted mom. But losing her mom in an unfortunate accident the poor soul was sent to Georgia, Atlanta to her maternal aunt. Abigail knew her since she started her school in kindergarten. Now at the age of nineteen she was still a very strong willed, brave and a courageous girl, who was trying her best in balancing her studies and two jobs to support herself.

Abi was wearing a simple but perfectly tailored frock in a fresh shade of powder blue which reached her knees. Its spaghetti straps looked perfect on her creamy shoulders. It was hugging her figure at all the right places. When she entered the living room, Hunter was on phone while doing something on laptop. He

stopped speaking as soon as his eyes fell on her. She was carrying her sandals in one hand. Sitting beside him, she started putting her feet in them fighting with its straps. Putting his phone and laptop down on the couch, Hunter kneeled on the floor near her, placing her foot on his lap he started tying her straps quietly. When the other foot was done he gave her a lopsided grin, “Anything else, ma’am?” “Do I look … ok?” she stood and twirled on her toes to let him see her complete look. His lips curled up in a thin line then coming near her, he touched her hair.

“You better tie them.”

“Tie them?” She saw her reflection in the living room mirror then started working on her hair then and there. In few minutes time she had managed a bun with a few hair tendrils lose around her face.

She did not know why he did not seem happy.”Ok I would do a braid.” She said without giving a much thought. But after getting a side braid done, when she looked at him, he groaned.

“What? Not good?” she was suddenly nervous. “I think I should get my head shaved or maybe get a haircut!”

“No silly! You look pretty in all of them. I just…” he shrugged, “– just want you to look less pretty when you meet him.” “What!” she shot him a stunned look

No way! Why he is making me feel like he is jealous?

“Come on. No need to play the fiancé part so seriously, Hunter. Right now no one is here.” She went to him and lifted herself to kiss on his cheek “Good night.”

But when she turned around he held her arm. She eyed him with seriousness, “What?”

Hunter was chewing his lower lip in his teeth, “Abigail, I just realized that I haven’t taken you on a f**king date.”

Abi was quiet for a minute then broke into a grin “Its ok. You have already done a lot for me, Hunter.” his gaze was fixed on her face. Shaking his head, he was truly feeling like an idiot. Rafael was taking his fiance for a date, for something he should have done for her. “Hey, Hunter. For me you are very special ok?

You would always be special.” She placed her palm on his cheek. He chuckled and turned his head to kiss her palm. He felt like a school kid who was being lulled by his school teacher. “Now you are treating me like a kindergarten kid!” Hearing that Abigail sighed trying to decide how to boost up his ego. So she did impulsively what came to her mind. Putting her palm on his eyes to cover them, she lifted on her toes and gave a quick kiss on his lips. Her heart beat accelerated.

She turned around quickly without looking at his face. She picked her clutch from the couch and murmured a good bye pressing the elevator button. He was standing there beside her like a gentleman. When the elevator doors opened she entered and then turned around to look at his face. God! He was grinning like anything with that signature twinkle in his eyes. Abigail started blushing to the roots. When she sat in the car with Rafael, even then she was grinning.

I have made a fool of myself.
